10. No, we are proud to say that none of our subcontractors have ever been reclassified and none of our clients have faced fines or penalties by HMRC in relation to our subcontractors. Many have had reviews or inspections since signing up with us, however HMRC have been fully satisfied with the conduct of EEBS’ clients with regard to the self employed status of their tradesmen.

13. Yes – EEBS was subject to an HMRC inspection in 2007, following which HMRC accepted the way we operate. Unlike some other CIS “Solutions”, who have had their gross payment status removed by court order, HMRC have never sought to challenge our model or status in the courts.
